The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 running on OS 4.2

The BlackBerry Pearl is a series of mobile devices released by RIM and runs on the BlackBerry OS 4.2 and 5 operating systems.

The Pearl 8130 has many new features like a 1.3 megapixel camera, and a media player. It runs on BlackBerry OS 4.2 and is the first phone to feature the trackball replacing the trackwheel on older devices. It runs on carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, Vodafone (Europe and Australlia only), and T-Mobile. The Pearl 8130 was available in many different colors like Red, Black, and Silver. The 8130 was known as the best phone through 2006 and 2007 only having the iPhone replacing it, which is a phone from Apple Computers. The Pearl 8130 was released on September 12, 2006.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8220 (also known as the BlackBerry Flip or the BlackBerry Pearl Flip) is BlackBerry's first ever flip phone released on November 14, 2008 running BlackBerry OS 5. It had the same features as the original Pearl but with a new improved 2.0 megapixel camera with better sound quality. When the device is closed a small screen appears showing the time, and if there is a new message sent to your phone, it notificates you saying you have a new message or a missed call.
